Quantum magnetism and orbital physics
Transition-metal compounds have been attracting great attention due to its complex and rich magnetic and transport properties and extensive applications. Investigating the interplay of charge、spin、lattice and orbital degrees of freedom in these materials is an important way to understand their novel and complex physical properties. Through analytical model and electronic structure calculations, we not only explain the intrinsic physical mechanism of the various properties observed experimentally, but also predict the new electronic correlation phenomena in these transition-metal compounds.
