The study of electronic structures and electron transport in nanostructures and nanodevices is an important and rapidly developing branch in condensed matter physics. We use the density functional theory combined with the nonequilibrium Green’s functions to tune the properties of the nanostructures and low dimensional systems, and to simulate and design devices with specific functions.
