Surface/Interface Physics
Research on surfaces/interfaces is an important branch of condensed matter physics. Most of the physical and chemical processes start from or take place on surfaces/interfaces, e.g., the oxidation and passivation of surfaces, catalysis on surfaces. The microscopic structures of surfaces can have significant effects on the performance of semiconducting electronic devices. Our research focuses on studying the microscopic processes on surfaces/interfaces by using numerical methods, to explore the microscopic mechanisms of the atomic/molecular motions at micro/nano-scale.
